Role Description
The Quality Assurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Surat. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure that software products and digital solutions meet defined standards and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and executing test plans, performing manual and automated testing, documenting defects, collaborating with developers and product teams to resolve issues, and continuously improving QA methodologies. The specialist will participate in reviews of requirements and technical specifications, contribute to quality metrics and reporting, and help enforce best practices across development and deployment workflows. The role requires close coordination with cross-functional teams to support reliable releases and enhance overall product quality.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute end-to-end test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ERP modules, billing engines, and mobile/web apps.
- Perform thorough manual testing and develop automated test suites for functional, regression, integration, and UI acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software bugs and defects with clear reproduction steps in test management systems.
- Collaborate closely with Laravel and React developers, product managers, and release engineers to resolve issues prior to production deployment.
- Participate actively in requirements analysis, design specification reviews, and sprint planning sessions to enforce quality at source.
- Perform internal quality audits and verification against regulatory, security, and industry compliance frameworks.
- Verify data accuracy and calculations for complex jewellery calculations (fine metal touch, karat purities, stone deductions, and GST invoices).
- Continuously refine QA methodologies, automation coverage, and release checklists to elevate engineering standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with the ability to design and execute comprehensive test strategies.
- Experience with Quality Management principles, including developing and maintaining quality standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or analogous regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to software and technology projects.
- Skills in Quality Auditing, including conducting internal audits, identifying gaps, and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
- Hands-on experience with software testing (manual and automated), bug tracking tools, and test management systems.
- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering, product, and operations teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in a QA role within software, IT services, or digital product companies is preferred.
