This Privacy Policy explains how SocioLedger (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information about you when you use our jewellery ERP, AI accounting, and billing platform. By using SocioLedger, you agree to the practices described here.

We collect information you provide directly, including:

• Account data — name, email address, mobile number, and business details when you register
• Financial data — invoices, ledger entries, gold stock records, and GST-related documents you create or upload within your account
• Usage data — how you interact with the platform, feature usage patterns, and session activity
• Device data — browser type, operating system, IP address, and device identifiers for security purposes

We also collect data automatically via cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and improve performance.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain your SocioLedger account and all associated services
• Process transactions, generate invoices, and deliver GST-compliant outputs
• Send transactional notifications including billing confirmations, security alerts, and support responses
• Improve the platform through usage analytics and AI model training (using aggregated, anonymised data only)
• Comply with applicable Indian laws, including GST and tax record-keeping requirements

We do not use your financial or business data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Security

We implement bank-grade security measures to protect your data:

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher
• Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel via multi-factor authentication
• We perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

Despite these measures, no internet-based system is 100% secure. In the event of a breach that affects your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal or business information. We may share your data with:

• Service providers — third-party vendors who help us deliver services (hosting, payment processing via Razorpay, email delivery) under strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal requirements — when required by Indian law, court order, or government authority
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice to you

• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements)

We retain your account and financial records for as long as your account is active and for a minimum of seven years after account closure to comply with Indian tax and audit requirements.
